Ecologist/Biodiversity specialist

Responsibilities:

• Conduct biodiversity assessments, ecological surveys, and habitat evaluations.

• Monitor flora and fauna in the project area and assess potential environmental impacts.

• Develop and implement Biodiversity Action Plans (BAP).

• Ensure compliance with national environmental legislation and international standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, EBRD requirements, if applicable).

• Prepare environmental and biodiversity monitoring reports.

• Liaise with regulatory authorities and environmental stakeholders.

• Support environmental permitting and reporting processes.

• Provide recommendations to minimize environmental risks and enhance sustainability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, or related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in ecological or biodiversity management.

• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and biodiversity conservation practices.

• Experience in industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.

• Ability to conduct fieldwork.

• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

• Fluency in English; Russian/Uzbek is an advantage.
